Format

The tournament is played in three stages;

1) 10-player round-robin - played from week 1 to week 9

2) 8-player round-robin - from week 10 to week 15

3) 4-player playoff - in week 16

 

All round-robin matches are played at best of 12 legs each. A player who wins the match is awarded 2 points, 1 point is given to each player if the match ends in a draw and no point is awarded to a loss. At the end of week 9 two players will be eliminated based on the pre-defined elimination process.

 

Points scored from the previous stage are carried forward to this stage. The second stage begins in week 10 with the remaining 8 players. At the end of week 15 the elimination process is applied once again to eliminate 4 players with the remaining advancing to the semi-final playoffs.

 

The third stage is a knockout format where the semi-final and final are played at best of 19 and 21 legs, respectively.

 

Elimination Process:

Players are eliminated according to the following criteria:

1) lowest number of points accumulated for each round-robin stage

2) a higher leg difference decides the winner when there is a tie on points

3) higher LWAT (Legs Won Against Throw) wins a tie on leg difference

4) a higher match average wins a tie on LWAT
